Snooki Promotes Mink Fur Eyelashes

Published on February 20, 2012 by   ·   7 Comments Pin It

This is what effective Los Angeles anti-fur group FurFreeLA calls an “Epic. Meatball. Fail.” Jersey Shore reality star (okay, let’s call it what it is, a forum for twenty somethings to be really embarrassed by their behavior in ten years) is putting her name on a product more suited for animals than her eyeballs.  This self-proclaimed animal lover and vet tech is now selling and making eye lashes from dead minks.

What to do?

  • Go on twitter and ask @Snooki to stop making #fur eyelashes from dead animals, and ask her to go fur-free publicly.  #jerseyshore

are these the mink eyelashes sold at sephora? if so, they aren’t actually made out of mink! here is a letter they wrote to someone regarding the issue:

    Dear Taylor,

Thank you for contacting regarding our false eyelashes.

We apologize for the confusion surrounding the situation. We do not sell any product with real mink fur at If you are referring to the SEPHORA COLLECTION False Eye Lashes in Mink (dramatic criss-cross black) Item # 1265602, “Mink” is simply a whimsical name given to this particular shape of lashes. The fibers on the lashes are synthetic and Sephora is known as Cruelty Free brand.

Please contact us again if we can assist you further by replying to this email or via phone at 1-877-SEPHORA (1-877-737-4672).

…but if she is selling mink fur eyelashes, then EW!

  6. I really hope the product isn’t really made out of minks. There are so many cruelty-free options that there is no reason to use the real deal.

  7. Francoise says:

This is absolutely disgusting. It is cruelty for the sake of cruelty. Mink eye lashes! What a totally unneccessary, stupid and dreadful thing to be killing an animal for. Oh and by the way, they look absolutely ugly!!!!
