Great video! I can’t wait for more from this series. I’ve been trying to find ways to pinch extra pennies lately – it seems my grocery spending has gotten out of control.

Oh and I love that you both have bare feet!

  2. chloejo says:

Thanks Mandi! I was told our feet wouldn’t show, but there they are! It shows our true hippyness! ;)

  3. How Fun! And necessary because I see SO many new vegans totally fall after a child, and often never get back to veganism!

  4. melanie says:

i’m always looking to save money (as a recent, and extremely broke, college grad), and your idea of finding coupons on the company’s website is something that never even occurred to me. thank you!

  5. When you save money this month, will you please consider donating it to the Walk For Farm Animals? If you’re going to eat compassionately and save money, why not spend the savings compassionately too!

So great and great tips! I love this video and can’t wait for the whole series.

Love this! Can’t wait for more!

  8. Elizabeth says:

Great video! I can’t wait to see more.

I LOVE Mambo Sprouts and definitely need to remember to use them more often for healthy veg*n foods.

  9. Such a cute video. I hate that so many coupons are not geared to vegans. At least you can find a lot more veg ones online, especially if you are willing to e-mail and ask for them.

I like the idea of buying seasonally to teach your kids a good lesson about waiting for a good thing. Very nice.

BTW, Chloe, I think your dress and belt is adorable. Where did you get them?

  10. chloejo says:

Thanks Shannon! Vintage dress (from resale shop) and belt Stella McCartney (from a sample sale). Look for bargains and you shall receive! :)

  11. Had so much fun doing hair & make up for this video bc I love you gals so much, BUT I have to thank you for underlining how affordable it can be to eat healthy. Since going veg, we have been able to spend our grocery dollars more sensibly and keep off any weight associated with sitting at a desk job (Hubby) and eating on the go (me), get more creative with our cooking, and enjoy better energy and health.

Awesome tips for cheapskates like me! xo

  12. themessenger says:

great video. hope it helps dispel the myth that eating healthy is expensive.

  13. Leinana says:

Great video! With our little vegan bundle due to arrive in November, I will definitely be looking out for more of your vegan parenting tips! :)

  14. E says:

Nice! I’ve used Mambo Sprouts before, but thanks for the reminder :) It’s really sad that most coupons are for meat and unhealthy food; however, when I use my grocery store card at Fred Meyer, I sometimes get useful coupons for things I normally buy, like soymilk or natural peanut butter.

  15. Can’t wait to try/find Mambo Sprouts! Love that you both filmed this barefoot!

  16. chloejo says:

    Shoes off and FREE. :)

  17. Medea says:

Great video!! Can’t wait to see more!! :)
