I’ve been choosing the beauty products for Perelandra Natural Foods for the past 11 years; it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that I have tried hundreds… and hundreds… and hundreds… of products. The items that get my seal of approval (and regular use) are natural AND effective.
The list below is made up of some of my favorite tried and true products that are perfect for summertime.
1.) Jane Iredale Dream Tint tinted moisturizer
A super light weight feel AND it’s water resistant so it won’t melt off your face when the temperature sky rockets. It nicely evens out your skin tone but doesn’t look like foundation. It also has an SPF 15 (but that doesn’t mean that you can skip the sunscreen!).
2.) Derma-E Antioxidant Natural Oil-Free Facial Sunscreen, SPF 30
I’ve been on a quest for the past 10 years to find the best oil-free, mineral-based facial sunscreen that a.) won’t make my face pasty white, and b.) wears well under make-up. This is it! Use it over your moisturizer because it doesn’t add much hydration, but it’s totally non-greasy and absorbs with minimal effort.
3.) Evan Healy Lavender Facial Tonic Hydrosoul
This facial mist is amazing; it’s great for all skin types and I especially love it during the summer. Lavender has a mild anti-inflammatory effect and helps to balance the skin’s ph. It’s great for setting mineral make-up, too! Use it all over!
4.) EO organic spray deodorant
This is my number #1 natural deodorant! A simple ingredient list (basically just organic essential oils), it helps keep you smelling good all day and the spray makes it easy to re-apply if you do find yourself getting a bit… fragrant. The essential oils are antibacterial, so it’s a great foot spray, too!
5.) Hurraw SPF 15 lip balm
Don’t forget to protect your lips! This lip balm uses zinc for spf but it won’t leave your lips white. And they all taste amazing.
6.) John Masters Organics Rose-Apricot Hair Milk
I use this as a styling product every day. It has antioxidant-rich rosehip seed oil to protect from sun damage and really gently defines hair. It eliminates frizz (perfect for summer humidity) and it makes your hair shiny and soft! It smells great, too.
7.) Woodstock Herbals Hikers Guard Insect Repellant Spray
I am one of those people that gets eaten alive by mosquitoes as soon as the temperature goes above 65. This is the best natural bug repellent I’ve used, ever – and I’ve tried SO MANY. Keep it in your bag all summer long.
