Kick Off 2014 in a big way, starting with your cruelty-free face. Most divas don’t know that their make up cabinets are stocked with cruelty – devastatingly inhumane animal testing, products containing sheep sweat, crushed beetles, and bees vomit (true) are in almost all commercial make up products. We know better, so we do better! Thanks to Briggitte Dix, a clean green make up artist in Texas who prefers vegan products, who shares her favorite make up trends for New Years Eve with us below;
New Years Eve is just around the corner, so were getting together all of our favorite make up trends and products that promise to keep your make up popping this 2014!
Glitter, glitter and of course more glitter! When it comes to 2014 New Years Eve make up trends this one is hot on our list of favorites. Adding a touch of sparkle to your makeup with glitter liner on the top or bottom of your smoky eye will make your look stand out from the crowd!
NYX has a large variety of colors in their Liquid Crystal Liner collection. Did you know that all of NYX’s products are cruelty-free and nearly all of them are also Vegan? I know were stocking up!
Daring Vegan Make Up Looks For NYE
Bold Lips are one of our favorite makeup statements for the New Year. Accessorize your favorite outfit with a pop of bright fuchsia, or our personal favorite bright orange and you’ve just taken your look from boring to bold in less than ten seconds. Lime Crime makes an amazing line of super bright, lipsticks that are entirely vegan and cruelty-free.
Looking for something a little subtler this New Years Eve? Make Up Geek Cosmetics just came out with a light gold reflective pigment, dubbed New Years Eve that will take your look from day to New Years Eve night in a flash. Just use a brush to add a touch of subtle gold shimmer by swiping it over the center of your eye and you’re ready to go! The entire Make Up Geek line is cruelty free and vegan with the exception of their lipsticks, which contain bee’s wax and carmine.
Metallic is a daring trend that is sure to make your look shine this New Years Eve. Kryolan Aquacolor cakes are perfect for using as an eye shadow base for a metallic Smokey eye! Krolan is a favorite brand for many professional makeup artists and is completely cruelty-free with most products also being vegan.
