GirlieGirl Army Founder Chloé Jo Interviewed For “POSERS” Series
“POSERS - Yogastyles of the Movers and Shakers” is an edgy new web-based series, documenting a wide array of personalities; actors, musicians, “captains of industry,” and famous Instructors who offer their take on Yoga and what it means to practice. In 2-3 minute weekly segments, famous yogamentary practitioners are recorded expressing their favorite Pose. On the street, in the gym, at the office or at home, Posers catalogues the poses that personally work for them and why.
British host Alexandra Aitken, a KRI Kundalini Yoga teacher and legendary media personality, flys around Los Angeles in search of “posers.” Alexandra is interviewing the eclectic faces of yoga today. The producers; Yogamatic.com are pioneers of creativity on Yoga mats by allowing you to design your own yoga mat… with whatever image you want - from your babies photo to a quote that will push you into that last Asana. This program is out to further dismiss any negative myths around yoga and provide inspiration. This week (well, in TV land.. actually a few Months ago) they interviewed our very own Chloé Jo Berman - GirlieGirlArmy.com’s opinionated and foxy founder. Note her custom mat in the interview below;
Who else will you want to watch on this series? Check out GirlieGirl Army sisters; “Skinny Bitch” author Rory Freedman, the glowing Mariel Hemmingway, talented Michelle Branch, and many more big hearted greenies. www.yogamatic.com

(09.16.2009 6:10 pm)I don’t get it. I read an article on Marial Hemmingway and she talked about eating lamb for health…..Did she change her ways?
(09.17.2009 1:07 am)Hey CM: Mariel - from what I’ve seen - is mostly vegan… but does still eat meat on occasion. This isn’t a series about veganism, and I’m not Producer.. was simply asked to be interviewed.

(09.28.2009 3:20 pm)I think what you are doing is great, however being vegan is not the end all to allieviating
(10.07.2009 11:58 am)animal suffering. I fully agree that factory farming is wrong on so many levels but there is an alternative. Eating meat raised on small farms local to your area where the animals are raised humanely, in open pastures can be part of a healthy life style and good for the planet.
Oh sweet, misguided Lynda… “small farms” “humane farms” and “free range” is basically corporate trickery for well-meaning folk like yourself. I URGE your to throughly review http://www.humanemyth.org and remember that animals using land for pasture is STILL contributing more to greenhouse gasses than if you drove a hummer AND ceased recycling. How about cutting out the middle man - stop feeding these animals all our HEALTHY grain and start eating more healthy foods ourselves? To produce ONE POUND OF MEAT (”humane” or “small farmed” or not) will still take up more water than ONE YEAR OF SHOWERS. Read “The China Study” to glimse at this US Govt funded STUDY on the diet implications of eating meat. I only want what is best for YOU, the planet, and our animals.. who “in suffering are our equals.” No such thing as a humane slaughtering… all are violent.. innately against ahimsa.
(10.07.2009 12:25 pm)Where can I but that cool Girly Girl Yoga mat?

(11.01.2009 3:57 pm)Hi Chloe:)
Great interview! I loved how you said that ever since you went vegan you have not gotten sick, not a cold, nothing. That’s amazing! You look amazingly beautiful and have an internal glow that is so freshing.
(03.10.2010 3:40 pm)I especially put thought into what you also mentioned in your interview that when you eat the life of an animal your taking a karmic perspective that is not good.
Thanks for all that you do and being a great inspiration.
Loves it!
Thank you Shayla! :)) xoxoxo
