Bone Strength Elixir
Part 1 : Make a pot of tea using these three herbs : Nettles, Horsetail, Oat Straw. These are delicate herbs, so have them soaking in the cool purified water while it comes to a slow high temperature. As soon as it begins to simmer turn the burner off and let sit until luke warm or cool. The reason you want to brew the herbs this was is so that they are free from being scalded by boiling water in which case we lose most of the minerals in the steam! So keep the pot covered! If your concerned about time, make this tea in the morning while getting ready for work and allow to cool for the day. When you get home you can move on to the next step.
Part 2 : Now that your tea is made take the tea, your sesame seeds, and goji berries and blend together on high. Next, strain.
Part 3 : Place back in blender and add vanilla & agave
You now have the most nutritious milk on the planet and it tastes GREAT!
Sesame is filled with minerals that support bone density. It is one of the best sources of calcium, along with manganese and zinc. Three of the biggest building blocks for strong bones!
These three herbs are high in nutrients and minerals. In addition, they are high in Silica . Silica is what helps with the assimilation of calcium keeping our bones dense, aids in elasticity of the skin, gives us joint support, and can help reduce swelling!
Horsetail is the most abundant source of silica and in high does can be used as sedative and anti-convulsant.
Nettles (sometimes called “stinging nettles”) is abundant in trace minerals and vitamins. It can be used as a treatment for inflammatory conditions, rheumatoid arthritis, prostate disease, and acid reflux!
Oatstraw is another great source of silica that is soothing for the skin. It also great at restoring the nervous system, strengthening ones constitution and may even help in the treatment of herpes (should that be an issue for you.)
As we have spoken about before, Goji berries are high in trace minerals and silica. They have one of the highest sources of Zinc and as we know, is one of the build blocks for strong bones!
