Brush ‘Em, Brush ‘Em, Brush ‘Em

Please don’t tell us you are still using drugstore toothpaste!  Since anything that goes into your mouth is absorbed in the body, it’s important to be aware of potentially toxic ingredients in oral care products, not to mention the horrendous animal testing that most mainstream oral care companies still invest in.  Enriched with with vitamins ( A, C, D, E) and calcium, infused with natural flavors and sweetened with xyiltol, VITACARE,  a new line of toothpastes and mouthwashes, are fabulous looking on your shelf (the high design toothpaste bottle self-stands rather than has to lay down in a tube) and whiten beautifully.  They don’t include fluoride, parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, SLS, sulfates, artificial colors/ flavors, artificial sweeteners, animal testing, or animal bi products which makes them an obvious choice for us green gals.   Hygienically speaking, this is a no-brainer.

VITACARE Acai Multicare Cool Mint Freshness, $5.99

It’s just as important to choose your brush wisely,  instead of using a brush with a plastic handle (that will end up living large somewhere in a landfill) opt for VITACARE’s ergonomically-designed toothbrush that’s made in the USA with 100% biodegradable and recycled materials.  And of course, the packages, boxes and toothbrush backercards are made of 100% post consumer waste or recyclable paper.

  1. I thought it was vegan, too. I’m actually using it currently. Please do a followup post to let us know if it’s not.

BTW, that clip from Grease cracks me up. I used to sing along with it when I was little.
