And we all know the crash that comes an hour after that cuppa joe or strong black tea. Try making this smoothie for long-lasting energy, so you’ll last as long as that Maccabean oil! You wouldn’t believe that this smoothie would be as delicious as it is… arugula in a smoothie sounds disgusting, right? But it, mixed with pineapple, adds the most delicious bite to your morning smoothiedoodledoo. Make this now so you’ll feel less guilty about eating two bags of chocolate coins later.
Blend in your vitamix the following;
- 2 cups arugula
- 1 frozen banana
- 1.5 or 2 cups frozen pineapple
- 1.5 or 2 cups coconut water (depending on how thick you enjoy your smoothies)
- 4 tablespoons chia seed
- 2 tablespoons flax seed (or one the pre-measured and really useful Flax Paks)
- 1 scoop full high quality greens powder (we like Oriya SuperGreen Medley which has Spirulina, Chlorella, Wheat Grass, & Barley Grass all in one)
This smoothie is full of live enzymes, phytonutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, protein, omega 3’s, chlorophyll, and fiber. You’d be hard pressed to find this much nutrition in your entire days worth of food. Another reason we heart a morning smoothie.
