For the 3rd year in a row GGA is sponsoring a fab NYC event that’s good for your closet, the planet and your wallet. Oh yes. And charity. That’s right. It’s time for the annual HEART clothing swap and vegan bake sale, an event designed to bring fashion loving New Yorkers together to swap clothes and raise funds for humane education.
Last year nearly 100 ladies and gents attended, bringing with them thousands of items like shirts, skirts, dresses, pants, shoes and more to trade in. How does it work? Bring in as many items as you want, and leave with any number up to the amount your brought.
Grab your ticket in advance and it’s only $12 (or $10 for students). Show up on the day of the event and pay $15 in cash at the door.
All funds raised go to HEART, an organization that teaches kids about human rights, animal protection and environmental ethics, covering topics like bullying, child labor, factory farming, dog fighting, habitat destruction, climate change and so much more. Any clothes left over will be given to people in need.
Check out the flyer for the full details and we hope to see you there. Munching on vegan sweets and grabbing new (to you) tanks and shorts just in time for spring.
