Pamela Anderson is a long time friend to animals and an ethical vegan. She now has created a line of vegan-made boots similar to her once-beloved UGGs, called Pammies.
Long and short winter boots that are cozy, but still look great, are the vibe of the line. They range in price from $299-445 and come in a few different styles and 5 colors.
“I’m excited about my boots coming out, which you know has been this labor of love for me because I made those darn UGG boots popular,” she tells PEOPLE. “I didn’t know that [animals] were being hurt. [UGG] used me a lot for promoting, but I helped them create their brand … I thought that [the animals] were being shaved and kept well. That was the beginning of my animal activism career, and since then I’ve been trying to create an alternative.”
And it looks like Anderson’s next career as a designer is taking off.. she’s also launching a line of summer shoes and beach totes with Amélie Pichard.
