Up until now finding a dress without a silk lining was next to impossible. No more. Made of satin from recycled plastic bottles, Vaute’s gowns are sewn in the garment district in New York City and they are vegan, sustainable, and sewn locally and ethically. The collection is named for 5 women that inspire Vaute founder Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart with their words and insights, from Anais Nin to Pema Chodron.
So.. if you haven’t bought that New Year’s Eve dress yet, check out Vaute’s capsule collection of holiday gowns and party dresses.
Leanne has also recently launched her line of vegan Vaute sweaters. Eco, vegan, made in NYC the fisherman unisex sweater is that perfect oversized piece over leggings or shirt dress. Plus there’s also a turtleneck sweater dress version you’ll wear all winter. Designed, developed and made in NYC’s garment district, using recycled cotton leftover from industrial production, these sweaters are the ultimate in ethical luxe: vegan, eco, made locally.
Vaute was prior known as the first vegan coat brand – with a huge selection of lovely vegan coats. Luckily Leanne has moved beyond outerwear with these delicious new pieces!
