New Non-Profit Aims To Support Single Moms Through Financial Support

Mother Boost after working for four years connecting separated, divorced, and single moms to one another in Virginia, Maryland, and DC. [caption id="attachment_29389" align="alignnone" width="506"] Hope Hanner-Bailey[/caption] She saw a very clear and persistent need to connect struggling mothers with community members to not only obtain holiday gifts for their children, but to help them access the most basic necessities, such as diapers and formula. Through Mother Boost, the goal is to help more mothers receive the aid they need as they transition through separation and divorce. In addition, the organization will help these mothers stay protected and educated about the laws around divorce through consultations and webinars with family law attorneys, financial advisors, and mental health professionals. Its purpose is to provide separated, divorced, and single moms emotional and financial support as they go through challenging family transitions. Especially as a single mom of 4 young children, the pull ups and baby wipes really helped my family. My connection to Mother Boost makes me feel like I am not alone.” – Alysa L.[/caption] To help support Mother Boost, you can donate through their website or venmo @motherboost. While Mother Boost does not have any physical drop off locations, you can email Hope at [email protected] to receive direct Amazon wishlist links during the holiday season. Other than donations, the greatest way you can support Mother Boost is to share and follow their website and facebook or instagram.]]>
