Jicama. Don’t know what the hell it is? It’s a potato-like (minus the carbs,) slightly sweet, low calorie, and  nutrient dense root vegetable that’s traditionally eaten raw, with a sprinkle of chili and lime. We can’t get enough of it in general… but when we got our box of JicaChips, our eyes popped open like a cartoon character. These are outrageously delicious crunchy chips made from jicama slices. Goodbye potato chips, Hello JicaChips. The flavors are NOT to be believed (smoked bbq, chili lime, spicy soy ginger, cinnamon sugar) and are all vegan – except the cheddar flavor.  They are baked, gluten-free, cholesterol free, no trans fats, nut-free, gmo free, and basically perfect. We want to eat them constantly. You have no idea how good these are. Plus: Jicama is full of inulin, a prebiotic which serves as food for the healthy bacteria in your colon. You’re welcome. Find (or ask for them) in your local health food store, Amazon, or on their website where you can get 20% off your first order with discount code JicaChips20 at checkout.

Coconut JERKY, ya’ll! That’s right: jerky made from the dehydrated meat of a coconut! It’s so good – it’s hard to be believed. This vegan, gluten and soy free jerky is paleo, raw, and non-gmo, and the ultimate snack. In flavors like chili lime and ginger teriyaki, prepare to get your mind blown. It’s so clean and full of healthy oils, fiber, and protein. Find it at Whole Foods, their website, and Amazon. Get 10% off and free shipping on your first order when you sign up for their newsletter and get the promo!

Vegan Chocolate Pudding!! WayFare makes all dairy-free and vegan products: sour cream, butters, cream cheeses, savory cheeses, dips and puddings. Not only is everything vegan, it is also double Kosher-certified and soy-, gluten- and palm oil-free (yay!) as well as free of most common allergens and GMOs. They have a pretty unique ingredient panel (made using butter beans – and other ingredients – instead of soy and cashews). Based in Montana now, the founder of the company was a dairy farmer in Vermont but came around to going plant-based once he learned of the benefits of a vegan lifestyle! Our fave? The pudding! Our kids went crazy for it, and it beats any of the other vegan dairy free/ pareve puddings we’ve had! Shop their website, or use their store locator. Saved the best for last! Vino!  Made by workout enthusiasts who loved wine, but not how they felt the next day, this team set out to upgrade the wine-making process!  To create wines that are clean tasting and rich in flavor and mouthfeel, FitVine Wines put their wines through malolactic fermentation and perform dry fermentation with no residual sugar levels. In doing this, both the Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc have 90 calories and 3g of carbohydrates at 13.4% alcohol (per 5oz glass). The Cabernet and Pinot Noir have 95 calories and 3.4g of carbohydrates at 13.9% alcohol. Any remaining sugar in their wine is only that which is naturally found in the alcohol and is less than 0.2g per 5oz glass. Not only does this proprietary process allow them to extract more color and tannins,  they also filter all of their wines with both diatomaceous earth and micron pads. Their wines contain sulfites at <35 ppm (parts per million,) which means an extremely low hangover quotient.  These wines are vegan, non-gmo, and made in California, so you can consider it yourself helping the environment when you sip your dry white! Buy it on their site or at Whole Foods. Sign up for their newsletter for a chance to win 1 case of Fit Vine Wine. Every week 1 lucky member wins.
