A Hairy Situation: An Alternative To Boar Bristle Hair Brushes

For as long as we can remember,  Mason & Pearson brushes were the only brushes used in our home and by hair dressers at the salon or at photoshoots.  Now compassionistas who are serious about their hair have an alternative to wild boar bristle brushes to care for their hair–Cebra, a company in the UK, makes sisal fiber hair brushes with sustainable beech wood handles.  They’re a more affordable and humane alternative to the $150 Masons boar bristle brushes, and can be found on eBay for shipment to the States here.  Even if we weren’t vegan, we’d be totally icked out by brushing our hair with the hair of another species.  Creepy.
