5 New Kid Products That Are Actually Making Moms Lives Easier

As a Mom of 3, whenever I find something that makes life a little easier (read: Mom Hack!) I share! Products flood into GirlieGirlArmy.com headquarters daily – 75% of them are duds – things I wouldn’t buy or share.

Here are the top 5 favorite products that have recently come through our doors that I (or a team member) are currently using on my own brood;

During cold, flu, strep, ear infection, eye infection, stomach bug season – there’s one thing that I can bet money on – one of my kids will be on antibiotics at least once this season. What that means is subsequently protecting their gut health during the time they are on antibiotics. My kids always have kombucha a few times a week, but when they are on antibiotics I kick it up a notch. Welcome Vegan probiotic drops that I can mix in his juice or water or pudding or ice cream or applesauce or whatever they request – life changer! Upspring is a company we discovered that makes great natural products for Mama and Kids – from breastfeeding support (powders to increase milk supply etc) to vitamins for littles, this product range is one to watch.

There have been too many questions about the actual safety of competitors wipe brands for me to risk playing around with my youngest one’s tushy.   bloom BABY saw some scary ingredients in other baby wipes (even ‘natural’ ones), plus crummy quality, rashy skin and outrageous prices – so they decided to do something about it. They start from 100% HydroPure water that comes from a glacier, plant derived vitamins A, B-Complex, D, Omega 3 and 6, the most sensitive, hypoallergenic moisturizing lotion and produce it all with 100% wind energy. The result is luxuriously soft, wiping big messes safely without crumbling in your hand or leaving a residue. And at an an accessible every-family price – because it’s not so simple if no one can afford it.  Also: No: alcohol, chlorine, phthalates, formaldehyde carriers, parabens, phenols, quaternary ammonium compounds, SLS, lanolin, and most common allergens. You can rest easy wiping his tushy with these.

Although my pumping days are over, I am still always wowed when new products like the Willow Pump come out. A hands free, stick on pump that suctions to your breasts and leaves you totally free from wires – this product seems revelatory for new Moms who pump! Willow is unique because everything works inside the Pump and inside your bra—with no external tubes, cords, or dangling bottles to hold you back. First, you align Willow with your breast, wait for the Pump to initiate latch, and then secure it inside your bra. Once latched, Willow senses let-down and automatically switches to expression phase based on your individual milk production. Your milk flows into the disposable, spill-proof Milk Bag tucked securely inside the Pump. And the best part is you can move freely while you pump and track your milk progress in real time on the Willow App.When you’re done pumping, simply open Willow and remove the Milk Bag (which doesn’t leak). Then pour it right into a bottle or store it in the fridge or freezer for later. Viva la revolution!

Have you found yourself on a winter pant hunt for your little ones? Winter pants always disappoint me when it comes to tiny legs. They are either way too thin for winter weather, not comfortable because they are made of a thick wale cord type material, or are wide legs that went out of style in the 80’s. My boys also aren’t huge fans of denim, and have gotten accustomed to a cozy, athletic-type pant. Enter BitzKids Winter Pants – lined with the softest materials (generally fleece, fuzzy teddy bear type materials, or jersey,) and effortlessly moveable and available in so many prints, materials, and vibes. They come in a skinny leg (like a legging) but lined, in an athletic fit with a ribbed band around the ankle (like below) or a more traditional pant. My boys wear one of these styles most days of the week, and complain when wearing anything else. They have girls styles as well.
