Allergy and asthma sufferers looking for natural alternatives to combat uncomfortable symptoms and decrease trips to the pharmacy can simply increase trips to the vegetable section of their grocer – food is medicine after all. Stock up on:
1- Don’t buy the milk or the cow: Curb Asthma & Allergies symptoms by scaling back on dairy and meat products. These products trigger your body to make excess of phlegm that negatively impacts your immune system making the allergic symptoms worst.
2- Pump it up – Daily: Exercise Strengthens the Body against Disease by increasing blood circulation which helps flush out bacteria, waste and unwanted toxins the body and even lungs.
3- Keep it real: Skipping the processed products has been proven to decrease allergies and asthma. Increase intake of raw and uncooked vegetables which contain essential nutrients needed by the cells in your body to build immunity against disease.
4- The green scene: Make it a point to get fresh air and absorb vitamin D from the Sun to strengthen your bones. Additionally, spring cleaning is another measure to help purify your home/work environment from excess chemicals from heavy metals, dust, pet dander, mold and pollen that further aggravate the respiratory system.

Or, you could just take supplements regularly. I’ve been taking a daily Vitamin D/Calcium/Magnesium supplement, a trace-minerals supplement (which includes zind) and Vitamin C twice daily this season, and the severity of my allergies has been significantly reduced.
“these items are high in zinc and will help to make your immunity stronger to combat allergens”
With regards to this statement…having allergies does not mean you have a weak immune system! This is a common misconception, and having stuggled with allergies my entire life (until recently having done much research and finding the perfect blend of holistic medicine :) People who have allergies actually have an hyper active immune system. Their bodies attack ‘harmless’ things like pollen, pet dander, dust, etc when they enter into the body. The body then create histamines to protect the body from the pollen, dust, animal dander, etc. the histamines cause immflamation which prevents the allergen ie. pollen from getting further into the respiratory system. Taking zinc and vitamin C is great, dont get me wrong, but they will not cure your allergies. I have tried everything under the sun for allergies, natural and pharmaceutical, and a neighbor recently reccomended to take these three things: you must take all three they work like a trifecta of awesomeness!
“Bio Allers” Sinus and Allergy, Nosespray
“Bio Allers” Pollen Hayfever, liquid drops under the tongue
“Gaia” Aller-Leaf, capsule
Enjoy getting to breath through your nose again!
I don’t see what any of these things has to do with asthma. And yet you fail to mention coffee and high-caffeine tea, both of which are proven to provide temporary relief of asthma symptoms.
