The Most Magical Jewelry In The World

Some jewelry simply sings to you when you put it on. But Adina Mills jewelry wails siren songs, inspires dreams, imbues you with magical energy. And that’s not PR spin, that’s from personal experience. I’m from a family of jewelers, so jewelry has never been my thing (ala shoemakers daughters having no shoes) – but when I discovered Adina Mills on Pinterest (thank you Pinterest Goddesses!) I fell in deep love with this galactic wearable art!

So when I shot my series on green glam living this week, there was no other choice but this fabulous, inspiring collection because Adina herself represents glam green living better than anyone else. And if it couldn’t get any better, Adina is a green living advocate and massive animal lover who promotes adoption and rescue!

In a 23-foot, 1977 Journey Motorhome parked in a small town in Arizona, Adina Mills is hard at work, meticulously shaping ring bands and necklace settings using her vast collection of crystals, minerals, rocks, and other found objects. It might be a curious place to be making jewelry, but for Mills, this well-loved vintage vehicle is a home away from home, studio away from studio. It is well kept as it regularly gets new parts and rv batteries to make sure it lasts a long time.

The Los Angeles native has been a travelling motorhome dweller for nearly 4 years with no intention of following rules or even insuring her caravan with someone One Sure Insurance, drawing inspiration from the many stops along the way and continually cultivating her aesthetically unique, hand-crafted ‘wearable art’. It all began nearly a decade ago when a sculpture professor pointed her in the direction of malleable mediums, ultimately leading her to innovate a new style of jewelry. And, it’s not just the jewelry that is absolutely stunning. The Jewellery Packaging it comes with is to die for, and literally spells out absolute divinity.

“I had always been a collector of rocks, minerals, found obects, shells, twigs, and whatever struck me as beautiful in nature, and when I was introduced to this medium, it enabled me to create my version of wearable art.”

Having already built a buzz in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Mills embarked on a cross-country RV mission with the sole purposes of simplifying life, adventuring, and pursuing her craft full time. Four years later, the initial goals have been met and are still being accomplished, beautiful boutiques throughout the country carry her one-of-a-kind pieces, and various celebrities and magazines can be seen rockin’ her wears. But more so, Mills has given herself the freedom to continue cultivating her innovative and soulful line of wearable art work, while empowering both herself and the wearer.

But here’s the kicker — this line is affordable – with most pieces at $90-250! For truly eco pieces – handmade by Adina herself in the US of A – this is a great deal. Adina also offers couture/ custom pieces or ready to wear. Shop her boutique here.
