Spring is here.   Is your skin is still rocking an ashy winter hangover?   It’s time to be austere in your moisturizing and beauty regime so that come a few weeks from now when you are mostly bare legged and randy, your gams will be all; “Bring it on!” and your shayna punim will be glowing ten shades of perfect.

Current GirlieGirl Army Favorites

Josie Maran Lipgloss ($24): Organic, 100% Natural, AND vegan (that, straight from Josie herself). Instead of the irritants in most plumping glosses which cause lips to temporarily swell, this plumping gloss relies on gentle but effective Marine Collagen to pump up pouts for lasting results.   This gloss looks and tastes (we are assuming here) as good as Josie herself.   Plus, most lipglosses are not vegan (they contain icky bits of fish skins, bee puke, or beetles for color), so to find a vegan gloss that’s fabulous is like stumbling into the holy grail.   Relish it, Glamazons.

Duchess Marden Damascena Anti-Wrinkle Serum ($58):   We cannot say enough about this magical oil.   Though it’s touted as an anti-wrinkle serum, we use it all over our face for the ultimate moisturizing experience.   The Duchess claims it; “Hydrates dry, delicate eye tissue and facial skin, with no oily residue, diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, reduces puffiness, fades discoloration, enhances and fortifies cell growth, acts as a free-radical scavenger, reducing appearance of aging, and increases moisture retention” and we are sure it does do all that cuz since we’ve been using this product, we have gotten carded at least 5 times.   And we know it’s pricey, but TRUST US, it’s worth every dime when you see and feel the difference from your regular moisturizer.

Mario Badescu’s Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs And Rosewater ($7): This hydrating mist is a GOD SAVE to tired, dry skin.   And it’s as crucial to a hang over as advil and water. Simply formulated with Rosewater, spray your face to set make-up or spray or over your evening creme or oils.   We cannot go without this spray for one day.   It’s like Prozac for our epidermis!   Something about the smell/ mist combo makes us feel imediatly at peace.   Try it yourself!

Evolution of Smooth (EOS) Ultra Moisturizing Shaving Creme ($4.99):   Shaving creme that smells like heaven, is 100% natural, contains no animal bi-products, and isn’t tested on animals?   We are in!   This stuff has made our legs as “silky smooth” as one of Zohan’s clients.   We also love the ergonomic look of the rubbery-feeling bottle.     Trust us, you’ll feel really grown up passing up the bar of soap to shave with from now on.

Pacifica Solid Perfumes ($8): It’s hard to resist all the scents of Pacifica’s solid perfume line, although the Fig Scent has proven to be the office fave.   The solid and tiny tins of solid perfume are perfect for traveling, hot dates, and weeks on the go.   We have even been known to dab a bit on a fly-away hair, or on our cheekbones for some glow! These absolutely delicious smelling perfumes are made with organic soy and coconut wax and essential natural oils only, no creepy chemicals or alcohol.   Save that for the after party. ;)

I had just been thinking to myself, “I wonder what perfume I should try next?” Very excited to learn about Pacifica!

  2. Etirsa says:

Lip gloss WOULD be the first on your list! The solid perfume is great to learn about because a friend just asked me for a list of all natural perfumes. Thanks!

  3. Allison Tray says:

    I can’t wait to try Josie’s gloss!

  4. Kate says:

I have the regular (nonplumping) Josie Maran gloss and lipstick and LOVE them. The gloss smells like coconuts.

  5. Cara says:

My Pacifica solids arrive friday (according to UPS anyway). I cant wait! got the fig and the chocolate!

  6. Kate says:

As usual, you’re right! I tried out the fig solid perfume today on my co-workers… compliments aplenty! I think i’ve found a new addiction.

  7. Brennan says:

Can’t wait to try that perfume! The lip gloss looks amazing as well.

  8. Kathy says:

I have tried to convert to “natural” or “organic” skin care products. Tried Josie, Jane Iredale, Juice, etc. The botanicals make me itch, peel, etc. Any advice? What about Arbonne?

  9. Chloe Jo says:

Hmm.. I wonder why, Kathy. Did you ask your Dermatologist? Organic face products are free of chemicals so it’s odd that mainstream products wouldn’t make you peel, but these would… What do you usually use? I swear by Duchess Marden, Dr. Hauschka, and MyChelle products. Have you tried those?
