Candle 79 Launches Gourmet Frozen Vegan Entrees At Whole Foods

Gourmet, organic, and vegan… not usually words you’d expect to hear in the frozen food isle.  And yet, the geniuses (Joy Pierson, Bart Potenza, & Benay Vynerib) at Candle Cafe and Candle 79, two of the world’s most renowned organic, vegan restaurants have brilliantly put together some tasty fare for the lazy and/ or busy!

How is it the world is still feeding their kids “Hungry Man” dinners when we now have options like these! Candle Cafe™ Frozen Meals were inspired by the chefs and recipes of the Candles, and are in partnership with  The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., a leading natural and organic foods company.  These delicious vegan frozen gourmet meals are certified organic and are always all-natural, vegetarian, non-dairy and made without genetically engineered ingredients.

Four Candle Cafe Frozen Entrees are available:

• Ø  Ginger Miso Stir-Fry - Tofu and vegetables in a ginger miso sauce, 9 oz. single serve entrée,   Made with organic brown rice and tofu
• Ø  Tofu Spinach Ravioli – Tofu spinach ravioli in a classic tomato sauce, 9 oz. single serve entrée, Made with organic pasta and tofu
• Ø  Mac & Vegan Cheese – Spiral pasta in a creamy vegan cheese sauce, 9 oz. single serve entrée

Candle Cafe frozen entrees are sold in 9 oz. trays, and retail at about $5.99. That’s a hell of a lot cheaper than dining at the restaurant.  Crap-laden Lean Cuisine meals average about $4, so for less than $2 more per meal, you could be getting healthy, changing the world, and still eating decadently tasty nosh.
