New Nursing Mama Gear You’ll Want To Splurge On

Instead of saying something is “the shit” – we want to start a revolution where we say something is “the clit” or “the boob” – after all women and our bodies are far more exceptional a topic than excrement (although not as funny to toddlers.)

So check out some of our new nursing favorites that are the boob (GGA Mama tried, tested, & approved) that are worth making it to your registry or middle of the night online shopping spree;

Seraphine PJ’s

Seraphine is a line of high end maternity and nursing wear that makes perhaps the greatest pajamas of all time. Seriously silky soft bamboo pj’s made so high quality they will last through menopause.  You’ve so gotta have these, and maybe even buy them for your non pregnant friends.. that’s how addictive they are.  The company also makes amazing bamboo sweaters that look like normal wrap sweaters but double as nursing wraps but they contain a small amount of wool which makes them not vegan friendly.  We are looking forward to hopefully a totally bamboo version!

Elle Macpherson Intimates Nursing Bras

Just like Bon Jovi, we’ve seen a million bras and we’ve rocked them all. But none are as beautiful to look at or as wearable as Elle Macpherson Intimates nursing bras.  They are simply the best overall.  There are plenty of comfortable brands we own that we like very much, but none that we aren’t slightly embarrassed to be caught in should someone good looking walk in the room.  These are sexy, beautifully made, and offer tons of style options like the one below which would be so cute for Valentine’s Day!  Our daily Macpherson pick? The Maternelle Maternity Wire-Free Nursing Bra (cozy as heck and pretty too.)  See the whole range on their site.

Leading Lady Nursing Camisoles

We used to be diehard Bravado camisole wearers til we discovered the Leading Lady camis.  Here’s why we like them better; they are longer to hide more post-baby tushy and belly (also better for leggings so you aren’t showing your butt cheeks when you bend over to pick up a teething ring,) the opening is sort of sexy (as you can see in image – it creates a sort of bondagey sexy look as weird as that sounds,) and there is more room in the belly.   Also the full inner sling supports the breast while nursing which makes it super duper brilliant. The biggest issue we’ve found in nursing clothes is they are all tight.  Only Gisele Bundchen wants to wear skin tight lyrca tops within months of giving birth.   Most normal chicks want their clothes roomy and comfortable post baby.. in our case for at least a year! Most of these nursing tanks cost up to $100, but these are appropriately priced and come in organic fabric options!
