I always feel a wave of excitement when I find piles of old wooden frames in a thrift store.  The possibilities are endless, but here’s one I hadn’t thought of – turning the old frames into chic serving trays.

HOW TO:

Take frames, sand off any splintery bits. Paint or treat if you choose to, but I like them au-natural.  Take a thin piece of wood (available at craft stores) or cut a thick piece of cardboard to match back end of frame if missing it’s natural backing.  Cover wood or cardboard with vintage piece of fabric or old scarf.  You can also use wallpaper scraps.  Glue to backing with non-toxic glue stick and secure to frame.  Throw those vegan sliders on and offer to your guests.

Love this idea! A great crafts project that has a great likelihood to NOT look like something that was done by a three year old. Totally useful and eco!

You can hang them on the wall when they’re not in use!
