The Solutionary School NYC will be a K-12 school opening in 2016 offering an open source model based on the principles Zoe Weil discusses in her viral TEDx talk, “The World Becomes What You Teach.” The differentiator is a curriculum interconnecting global issues within academics — the first of its kind teaching students to create sustainable solutions for a humane, just, and healthy world. The Solutionary School will radiate curiosity, responsibility, and compassion, turning out global citizens able to lead the charge. Add to that some of the most unbelievable class projects, school building, and all plant-based organic foods served and you’ve got the blue print for a school that has never been embarked upon before. This is the kind of revolutionary model of education that education-obsessed parents will move from other Cities to send their kids and provide them with this radically unique educational experience.
The Institute for Humane Education (IHE) is embarking upon the most exciting and audacious project to date: the Solutionary School New York City (SSNYC) to be opened in 2016 with an innovative, open-sourced curriculum available to the world. Hear from Head of School Bill Gladstone and IHE President Zoe Weil on how the development of this school offers the greatest strategy for a peaceful, sustainable future for all people, animals, and the environment.
