I personally chose to go vegan because I educated myself on factory farming and cruelty to animals, and I suddenly realized that what was on my plate were living things, with feelings. And I just couldn’t disconnect myself from it any longer. I read books like “Diet for a New America” and saw documentaries like “Earthlings” and “Meet your Meat,” and it became an easy choice for me. If you choose to educate yourself, it’ll be an easy choice for you, too. Click here to take a look at a variety of reasons for living a vegan life.”

NEW YORK: BOB DYLAN AND TIM BURTON, OH MY!
TUESDAY, NOV. 17: BOB DYLAN AT THE UNITED PALACE THEATER
The man loves to tour, and tonight Bobby D. finishes up an eight-month stretch of shows at the United Palace Theater. Somehow he found the time to record a Christmas album, Christmas in the Heart, which means you might be treated to a few gravely versions of “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” and “Little Drummer Boy” tonight. Scrooges and baffled fans, might want to stifle their laughter or hit the bathroom for these. And get there early! Dylan is apparently selling a few hundred concert posters specially made for tonight’s show.
United Palace Theater, 4140 Broadway, (212) 568-6700. 7:30 p.m. $59-$129.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 18: TIM BURTON BOOK SIGNING AT THE MOMA BOOK STORE
Coinciding with the launch of Tim Burton’s career retrospective at MoMA — which features artwork from the conception of his dark oeuvre, work from unrealized projects, and early student films — our goth prince visits the museum’s bookstore to sign copies of the exhibition’s catalog and book The Art of Tim Burton, a 400+ page collection of Burton’s spooky, spindly genius. Play hooky from work and go see him in the pale flesh.
