1/2 POUND ANY OTHER WILD MUSHROOMS YOU CAN AFFORD, CUBED
1/4 CUP HIJIKI (SEAWEED: HEALTH FOOD STORES)
2-3 TABLESPOONS MAPLE SYRUP
2 SPRIGS TARRAGON
1 BUNCH CHIVES, SLICED THIN
2 12 OUNCE CANS BEER
2 POUNDS TEMPEH (HEALTH FOOD STORES), CUT IN INCH CUBES
1 TEASPOON TURMERIC
GROUND PEPPER TO TASTE, BRING ALL BUT LAST INGREDIENTS TO BOIL IN A WIDE POT. REDUCE TO MEDIUM AND COOK 1 HOUR. ADD GROUND PEPPER AND STIR. SERVE HOT WITH BROWN RICE OR ANY OTHER GRAIN.

Perfect to spread on your Ezekiel bread or Apples as a mid day snackeroo. Stuff your face, you gorgeous pig.
2 cups almonds, toasted in a preheated 325 degree oven for 20 minutes)
2/3 cup dark agave nectar
2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil

GGA BFF Matt Boren shot a small indie film in NYC in the spring of 2006. Momma’s Man went to Sundance this past January as part of the American Spectrum category and was recognized as one of the best films of the festival by Owen Gleiberman Entertainment Weekly, Peter Travers of Rolling Stone, and Manohla Dargis of the New York Times. It played the New Directors Festival at Lincoln Center this past March to great reception and is now having a small release in arthouse theaters nationwide. Next Friday in NYC, Momma’s Man opens at the Angelika on Houston. Soon to follow all other major cities. LA next Month. This movie is truly the little engine that could and I encourage all of you that support the arts to head out and check what the NY Times called “independent film defined.” Check out the trailer.
